Our standard post is 2.4m in length to allow solid ground holding and canopy support. Each post weighs 7.8 kg
Custom sizes are available to order.
Standard pack size is 84 pcs (653 kg) for ease and safe handling in most vineyard conditions.
PRE-DRILLED PILOT HOLES
Set at 150mm intervals the predrilled pilot holes allow easy location and installation of trellis wire retention clips.
Longreach Post is the Safe, Reliable and Economical alternative
Noting that the widely used treated pine posts are subject to many drawbacks the Longreach Post was developed with the following key points in mind.

Treated pine posts are treated with the preservative copper chrome arsenate. This has the potential to leach into the ground over the average lifespan of approximately fifteen years. For this reason producers who use treated pine posts are unable to obtain organic producer certification.

Treated pine posts breakdown with exposure to sunlight and weather. They weaken over time. They are also subject to damage by modern mechanical harvesting equipment.

On average vineyards experience a 5 to 8 percent annual attrition rate on pine posts. This is a significant financial and time impost for the producer. Furthermore there is currently no safe way to dispose of the redundant pine posts.
